WeCode24
ProjectsWe designed and continue to develop WeCode24.
WeCode24 is a hacker-style coding movement for high school learners in under-resourced schools.
We focus on offline, creative coding — using mobile devices, printed guides, and community-driven clubs. It’s not a course. It’s a culture.
Learners don’t sit through lessons — they mess with code. They draw strange patterns, bend rules, and create beauty out of logic. It starts with simple commands, but quickly becomes something deeper: learning how to think like a hacker — curious, clever, and hands-on.
Clubs run independently, powered by hands-on zines, creative challenges, and a spirit of experimentation.
Top performers go beyond the basics — exploring game design, web development, and hardware hacking at special events like HackFest and Bootcamp.
WeCode24 is sponsored by Naspers, in collaboration with Media24 and the University of Stellenbosch.
